Service FAQ

International Warranty

Every NORQAIN watch comes with an international manufacturer’s warranty of four years for the Manufacture Calibres and two years for the ETA and Sellita movements. The warranty can be extended to five years* for the Manufacture Calibres and to three years* for ETA and Sellita movements by joining the NORQAINER club at www.norqain.com/norqainer-club

Register within one month after your purchase in order to have the warranty extended by one year.

If the NORQAIN watch was purchased from an authorised NORQAIN retailer, this warranty can be claimed by presenting the official international manufacturer’s warranty at an authorised NORQAIN retailer, distributor or NORQAIN service centre (www.norqain.com/retailers). The international manufacturer’s warranty must include the date of purchase, the serial number of your watch and the activation code to be recognised by an authorised NORQAIN retailer, distributor or service centre.

As part of this International Manufacturer’s Warranty, an authorised NORQAIN service centre will perform service and repair work on your watch.

The following events are not covered by the warranty:

  • Damage caused by external influences, natural disasters, accidents (blows, shocks, etc.)
  • Theft, loss, etc.
  • Damage due to incorrect handling or incorrect use of the watch
  • Wear due to normal use and aging of the watch
  • Damage caused by tampering with the watch by a retailer, distributor, or service centre not authorised to service NORQAIN
  • If there is no International Manufacturer’s Warranty or the activation code has not been activated

User Tips & Information

Water resistance

The water resistance of all NORQAIN watches is indicated in meters resp. bar. These are technical standards. A water resistance of 100m, for example, means that the watch could be stored at a depth of 100m (without movement). Since swimming or jumping into the water can cause additional pressure on the case, this must also be taken into account. All NORQAIN watches are equipped with at least 100m water resistance. This makes it possible to carry out the following water activities without any problems.

Showering, swimming, jumping into water, wakeboarding, surfing, snorkelling, scuba diving up to 30 metres

The following points must be considered:

  • Always have the crown screwed tight before going into water.
  • Do not operate chronograph pushers under water or in wet conditions.
  • Leather wristbands are not suitable for water as they may discolour or deform. Rubber straps or steel bracelets are recommended if your watch will be in or near water.
  • The water resistance is ensured by several gaskets. These gaskets are subject to heavy wear, especially during intensive use of the watch in water. Other external factors such as perspiration, temperature fluctuations, dust, chemicals, etc. also impact the gaskets. In order to maintain the effectiveness of the gaskets in the best way possible, we recommend replacing them every two years with a periodic service.

Attention!

The following influences can affect the functionality as well as the accuracy of your NORQAIN watch.

Jolts and swinging movements: If possible, it is important to avoid jolts against the watch and swinging movements.

Magnetic fields or extreme temperatures: Strong magnetic fields from magnets or electronic devices can affect the accuracy of your NORQAIN watch. The same applies if the watch is exposed to very low temperatures (below 0 C°) for a longer period of time. However, it should be noted that these low temperatures are hardly attainable when the watch is worn on the wrist, due to body heat.
