The Story of a Downhill Champion.

Mattia's journey in the World Cup, with nearly 190 appearances and 4 World Championships (St. Moritz, Switzerland, in 2017; Are, Sweden, in 2019; Cortina, Italy, in 2021; Courchevel - Meribel, France, in 2023), was crowned with a superb season in 2022-23. He achieved his first podium in the World Cup, a third place in
downhill in Val Gardena on December 17, 2022, a dream come true. In addition to
the Val Gardena third place, he added two more podiums, one in downhill in Wengen, Switzerland, and the other in super-G in Cortina, Italy. Only 4 hundredths separated him from the podium in the Kitzbühel downhill (Austria). In the last season, he finished 6th in the final Downhill standings and 14th in the Overall standings.
